Police Officer Dispersed a Group of Teenagers Fighting with a Dance

Police Officer dispersed a group of teenagers fighting with a Dance

A US Police Officer has dispersed a group of teenagers who were fighting by challenging one of them to a dance (the cop is quite a good dancer). The teenager, Adole Liyah who danced with the police officer posted the video on facebook and it has gone viral.

I wish we can have more Police Officers worldwide to possess such a fun attitude of resolving situations. Am sure you can agree with me the world would be a better place if we can resolve such situations in such a manner.

11 ways to make money online in Nigeria

11 ways to make money online in Nigeria

1.             Domain Site Flipping

One of the quickest ways to make money online is by buying a product for a low price and selling it for a much higher price.  It makes it even better when you don’t need to collect or ship a product.
This involves purchasing of unique domains which you believe will be on demand in future. For example, some few months ago Google announced a new name for its group of companies called Alphabet and imagine if you already owned the domain alphabet.com, they would be willing to buy and you would make a fortune selling it to them. There are quite a lot of other companies who acquired domains from people just for the name of the domain. You could also place your offer on some websites and meet lots of potential buyers there are websites. You can register many websites and list it there and if you found who is interested in buying then you are good to go. There are sites like Namejet, that lets you bid for a domain on auction. Flippa.com also lets you buy and sell domains and it’s the most popular site for flipping of sites.

2. YouTube Partner
You may have seen Ads popping up when you are about watching a youtube video, those ads are an extension of Google’s Advertising platform, Adsense, and it helps to monetize video uploads on youtube.
Just like any Adsense Programme, you are required to upload quality and unique videos and gain some audience then apply to be approved by Adsense. Earnings are between $1- 4$ per a thousand views, and if you can gain a lot of audience, you would be making a lot of money monthly.

3. Freelance Writing
This is a great way to make money online for those who have passion for writing. If you are not a passionate writer and don’t love writing, definitely you will not make much from writing. Before you decide on writing, there are certain questions you would need to ask yourself; are you a patient person? Do you have the discipline? I will address all of these in another post. If you can afford a lot of patience, you can find a number of websites who pay writers for writing on a particular subject and if you can write quality articles then you will smile your way to the bank. Some of the common websites that pay for a write up are:

·         TopTenz: This websites accepts quality articles with bullet points with at least 1,500 words and they pay $50 for each accepted article.

·         IWriter: They pay 15$ per one accepted article and you can write fewer words of article. Their writer review process is faster and  much easier.

·         International Living: They focus more on experiences of different countries and they accept articles discussing the experiences you had in the countries you have visited. They pay $75 for any article they accept.

·         Listverse: It works like this: You write your list (1,500 words/10 items minimum), you send to them, they reply and say “Great—we’ll publish it” and send you $100  or they reply and say “Sorry—it isn’t the sort of thing our readers will love—give it another shot.” This isn’t recommended for Nigerians unless you can accept their payment methods.
4. Affiliate Marketing
It’s a type of performance-based marketing, where a company or business pays a marketer or affiliate for bringing a customer. The amount paid varies but it’s usually a percentage of the promoted item. You can either contact the company personally or deal with them through a platform. Using a platform means more offers from different companies to choose from but getting a direct relationship means you will get not have to pay any commission to a platform. Cj.com is a popular platform. some direct contacts are: Konga, Jumia, Dealdey and Kaymu. I personally prefer Konga, they are the most reliable as far as I know.

The old fashioned way of making money online in Nigeria through the means of publishing an E book and selling directly to people. You will create a website where you will publish the adverts of an e-book and success stories of those who have bought and apply what is said in the e-book. You mention your account numbers and reference numbers and when you get paid, you send the e-book to their email in PDF format.
5. Sell a product or offer a service
This is closely related to the first point I mentioned above. You can hardly make money online if you do not have a product or service that someone, somewhere is willing to pay for. So, create a new product and take it online. How about your services? That too can be unbundled and offered cheaply online. For instance,  it may be wise as a Lawyer  to break down the services you offer and place on your  website so as to attract Small and Medium Businesses that usually regard legal services as something only big companies can afford. One of the key points with making money online is to do all within your reach to price your service as competitive as possible with the purpose of making it reasonably priced and accessible to as much potential clients as possible.

6. E-commerce websites
Another way of making money online today is through e-commerce websites, all of which sell goods to people online and deliver to their door step. You will be required to create an E-commerce shopping portal and then acquire a genuine payment system, offer products and make provisions of delivery of the products to your customers. Examples of online shopping businesses in Nigeria are:
1.       Perfume House: Sells Perfumes and fragrances
2.       Jumia: Sells stuffs like phones, groceries, sports fitness, car accessories.

5.       Addiba: General products
6.       Watch Locker: Sells Wrist watches
7.       SmartBuy: Sells Electronics
8.       Domestico: Sells Furniture.

7. Blogging
Blogging is one of the most popular ways of making money working online in Nigeria. There are different strategies in blogging and different ways of monetizing your blog. It is quite a time consuming business and there are lots of techniques people have used to own a successful blog, its called SEO(Search Engine Optimisation), but SEO isn’t something you should worry yourself about as a beginner. Just concentrate on producing quality content for a large audience and you are on the right track.
The Steps involved in becoming a Successful Blogger are:

10. Create App
This is the most interesting new trend of how to make money online. There different kinds of apps and different platforms you can target. The common apps are web apps, Android apps, IOS apps, windows desktop apps, windows phone apps and Blackberry apps. And for which ever platform you choose, you can make games, utility, productivity, news, sports and other categories of apps.
Monetisation of apps is either by defining an upfront prize tag on the app, by integrating in-app purchases or by integration of ads from an ad network. Some of the ad networks are admob, startapp, iad, millennial media, mopub etc.

11. Gigs on Fiverr
Fiverr is now the world’s largest marketplace for people to make money selling small services (known as ‘gigs’).
What you offer could be absolutely anything, from writing and marketing, coachingselling designs and  to dance, voiceovers and short video clips for people all around the world!
The default price is $5 (hence Fiverr..), but you can earn more by adding extra services to gigs for more money. Whilst it might not seem like much, it can quickly add up and there are plenty of examples of people making a really good living from the site. The key is to get a system in place which minimises the time spent on each gig.
But there is another way to make money even more from Fiverr for doing much less work. How? By simply reselling Fiverr gigs elsewhere. For example, find a decent web designer then reply to jobs on local classifieds. A $5 spend can easily become $50+, and it’s repeatable!
